Family   Larry (Husband)

Saved    I was saved in 1972. My sister's boyfriend was involved in a church that was just starting a bus route and I went on the bus that very first Sunday (Pastor Beth's father was the bus driver.) I kept going at first to just get away from home but then as I started to get more involved I began to see that something was missing in my life. It wasn't long until I gave my life to the Lord. I was a very shy and quiet teenager and there was one person there that was the exact opposite and we became best friends and still are today. That person was Beth Carson (now Beth Herald.) God certainly does work in mysterious ways!

What scripture has impacted you the most and why?   2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power, of love, and of a sound mind." Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Coming from a bloodline where depression and mental illness were prevalent 2 Timothy 1:7 has helped me to combat fear of suffering from one or the other or both and Philippians 4:13 has helped me to realize that I really can do whatever I set my mind to.
